Global Birding Day at Kent estate

 The MashCreepers Youth Club visited Kent Estate, a farming estate in Norton, a farming town 20km away from the city.

"Birding at Kent Estate over the weekend was very rewarding. From 12-14 May 2023 a total of 146 species were seen and heard. Highlights include 1 African Darter, 27+ Pygmy Geese, 3+ White-backed Ducks, Crowned and Martial Eagles, 20+ Chestnut-backed Sparrow-Lark, Quailfinch, Lanner Falcon, White-backed Vultures, 1 Black Stork, Grey-headed Gulls, Barn, Scops, Wood and Marsh Owls, Swallow-tailed Bee-eaters, Bearded and White-browed Scrub Robins, All 3 Longclaws, Buffy and Striped Pipit" - Ronnie Chirimuta, one of the youth birders reported.
